Does the rich history of fire service
apparatus spark your interest?
If so, you've come to the right place.  The
Fire Buffs of Illinois is an organization of
more than 100 members that join together
to explore and celebrate this unique hobby.
Although among our members there are about 40 historical pieces, apparatus
ownership is NOT a requirement for membership.
Our only membership requirement is an
interest in the rich history of both modern and antique fire service apparatus.  Our members also
include apparatus buffs, historians, photographers and authors.
Monthly meetings of the club are held throughout
the northeast Illinois region.
These meetings offer you
the opportunity to see many different brands and styles of
fire trucks, as well as both old and modern fire stations.  At
each meeting, we provide a mini program to highlight the
meeting; it may be a movie, slide show, equipment
demonstration or fire prevention education show.

Regular club meetings are held the third Sunday of
the month from September through May.
 In addition
to the regular meetings, small groups of club members
arrange separate side trips at their convenience to
additional Illinois fire stations.
